Cost reduction
If you’re ramping up your production volumes, ensuring you realise your target cost is a crucial step. We offer a cost-reduction service to help you achieve maximum profitability.

We start by completing a full electronics design review of the system, to ensure that we fully understand how it is operating and compare this to your specification. This will allow us to identify areas we can look to reduce cost.

Our consultants will then work with you to reach your target pricing by challenging the components selection and redesigning functional blocks. Using our wealth of experience in cost management, we’ll help you identify the best areas to reduce costs without any reduction in the quality of the electronic product.
Should-cost analysis
If you’re ramping up production or looking to purchase a large number of devices, should-cost forms an important part of the process. Having an estimate of how much the device cost to produce allows you to make an informed decision.

Should-cost involves working out how much an electronic product cost to manufacture. We can carry this out as an independent assessment so that you can validate any pricing you have been given by a manufacturer.

Our engineers will typically start by collating a full bill of materials for the parts in the systems. We’ll then use our industry connections to obtain our own prices for all those parts, typically approaching a range of manufacturers so that we can fully capture the current market prices.

Once we have a fully costed bill of materials, we’ll use our in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes to calculate the cost of each manufacturing step, adapting the cost to account for local labour rates. We also take the time to consider any volume pricing discounts that might be available from a component manufacturer.
Design for X (DFX)
DFX covers a range of activities that are present at all stages of the product life cycle, including concepts such as design for manufacture (DFM), design for test (DFT) and design for assembly (DFA).

Our skilled and experienced team will help you review your electronics product and ensure it is designed with the correct traits in mind. Working with you from the start of the process, we’ll help prevent costly reworking further down the line.

Our consultants can also take existing designs and identify changes and modifications to make them more compatible with the DFX concepts.
Manufacturing handover
Successfully handing over a product to a manufacturer is a critical step in the product lifecycle, and we are dedicated to making this transition as smooth as possible for you.

Our experts provide comprehensive support throughout the entire process, ensuring all specifications, quality standards, and production requirements are clearly communicated and understood.

Our team collaborates closely with the manufacturer to address any potential issues, provide detailed documentation, and facilitate open lines of communication. We also conduct thorough reviews and validations to guarantee that the manufacturer is fully equipped to produce the product to the highest standards.

This level of support ensures that you can have full confidence in the manufacturing process and the quality of the final product.
Manufacturing Relocation
The  process of manufacturing relocation is complex and requires meticulous planning, clear communication, and unwavering commitment.

Our consultants guide you through every step. From evaluating potential new locations and understanding local regulations to coordinating logistics and setting up new operations.

Our team ensures that all technical specifications, quality control measures, and production schedules are seamlessly transferred to the new site. We work closely with both the client and the new manufacturing team to troubleshoot any issues that arise, provide comprehensive training, and maintain open lines of communication to ensure a smooth transition. Our goal is to minimize disruption and ensure that quality standards are upheld throughout the relocation process.
Manufacturing Audit
Conducting manufacturing audits is essential for ensuring compliance and maintaining quality in production. Our expert team manages the audit process from start to finish, including organizing and reviewing documentation, conducting pre-audit assessments to identify potential concerns, and performing on-site audit activities.

We evaluate our findings against best practices and regulatory standards to ensure that every aspect of the manufacturing process meets the necessary criteria. During the audit, we facilitate proactive communication between the client and the manufacturer, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring that all questions are promptly and accurately answered.

After the audit, we assist in implementing any required corrective actions and improvements, ensuring continuous compliance and enhancement of manufacturing processes. Our goal is to provide clients with the confidence and assurance that their operations uphold the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

"There are so many different things to consider when you’re trying to get your product to market that it might feel like a juggling act. Our consultants have a wealth of experience to offer and can support you with cost analysis, production-line auditing, manufacturer relations and much more.”
